Car
If you are traveling by car from any point along Slea Head Drive, head west towards the village of Dunquin. Continue on the R559 road until you reach the junction with the R565. Turn left onto the R565 and follow the signs for Valentia Island. You will need to cross over the bridge to Valentia Island. Once on the island, follow the signs to the Tetrapod Footprints located in Dohilla, which will be approximately 5 km from the bridge. The footprints are near the edge of the island and are well-marked. Be sure to park in designated areas.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, first take a bus from Slea Head Drive to the nearest town with bus services, which is Cahersiveen. From Cahersiveen, you can catch the Valentia Island shuttle bus service that goes directly to Valentia Island. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance as they may vary. Once you arrive on Valentia Island, you will need to walk approximately 3 km to reach the Tetrapod Footprints in Dohilla. Follow the signs and enjoy the scenic views along the way.

For a more direct route, consider hiring a taxi from Slea Head Drive to Valentia Island. Make sure to agree on a fare before starting your journey.
