    Starting from Slea Head Drive, head south towards Dingle. Continue on the R559 until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto the N86 towards Tralee. Follow the N86 for about 20 km until you reach the junction for the Valentia Island turn-off (R565). Turn left onto the R565 and continue straight onto the bridge that connects you to Valentia Island. Once on the island, follow the signs towards Knightstown, and then towards Cromwell Point. The Valentia Island Lighthouse is located at Cromwell Point, Glanleam, Valentia Island, Co. Kerry, V23 P680. There is parking available near the lighthouse.

  • Public Transportation

    From Dingle, take a bus heading towards Tralee. You will need to switch at Tralee to get a bus to Cahersiveen. Once in Cahersiveen, look for a local bus or taxi service to Valentia Island. The bus may drop you off in Knightstown; from there, you can either walk or take a taxi to the lighthouse located at Cromwell Point, Glanleam, Valentia Island, Co. Kerry, V23 P680. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited.
