If you're driving from Portmagee, head south on the R565 for about 5 kilometers. When you reach the junction, take a left onto the R578 and continue for approximately 8 kilometers. Look for a turn off to the left that leads into a small parking area near Cool East. Park your car here. The Cool East Wedge Tomb is about a 10-minute walk from the parking area. Follow the signs or local trail markers towards the tomb.

From Portmagee, take a local bus that operates towards Ballinskelligs. Make sure to check the schedule as services may be limited. Once you arrive at Ballinskelligs, you will need to walk approximately 3 kilometers towards Cool East. Head south along the R565, and then take a left onto a smaller road leading towards the area. There will be signs pointing towards the Cool East Wedge Tomb. The walk will take about 40 minutes.
