From Sligo town, head to the Bus Eireann station located on Quay Street. Purchase a ticket for a bus heading to Bundoran. Buses run frequently, so check the schedule for the next departure. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Bundoran, you can catch a local bus or walk towards Donegal Bay, which is around 5 km away. If walking, head south on Main Street, then turn right onto Station Road, following the signs towards Donegal Bay.

If you are already in the town center of Sligo, you can take a scenic walk towards Donegal Bay. Start by walking north on O'Connell Street until you reach the River Garavogue. Follow along the river until you reach the junction with the R291. Turn left onto the R291 and continue walking westward. This walk is about 14 km and will take approximately 3-4 hours, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way.
