Walking
From the Amalfi Cathedral (Cattedrale di Sant'Andrea), head east on Via Lorenzo d'Amalfi toward Piazza Flavio Gioia. Continue straight until you reach the bus terminal at Piazza Flavio Gioia. Here, look for the SITA bus that goes to Pompeii. The ride takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Pompeii bus stop, follow the signs to the entrance of the archaeological site.

Public Transport
Start at the Amalfi Coast ferry terminal. Take a ferry to Salerno, which takes about 30 minutes. Once in Salerno, exit the ferry terminal and head to the Salerno train station, which is a short walk away. Buy a train ticket to Pompei (about 30 minutes on the train). Upon arrival in Pompei, follow the signs to get to the archaeological site entrance.

Walking and Public Transport
From your accommodation in Amalfi, walk to the nearest SITA bus stop (you can ask locals for directions if you're unsure). Board the SITA bus to Sorrento, a scenic route that will take roughly 1 hour. In Sorrento, transfer to a Circumvesuviana train towards Naples and get off at the Pompei Scavi stop. The entrance to Pompeii is just a short walk from the train station.
