Getting There

Walking
From the central square of Amalfi, Piazza del Duomo, head north towards Via Lorenzo d'Amalfi. Follow this street as it curves and leads you toward the coast. Continue walking along the coastline, enjoying the scenic views. After about 15 minutes, you will reach the bus station on your right. Here, you can catch a SITA bus heading towards Venice, as there are no direct routes to Saint Mark's Basilica from Amalfi. Take the bus to Salerno, where you will need to transfer to a train to Venice. In Venice, you will take a Vaporetto (water bus) to reach Saint Mark's Basilica. Disembark at the San Marco stop, and follow the signs leading to P.za San Marco, where you will find the basilica.

Bus and Train
Begin your journey at the Amalfi bus station. Purchase a ticket for a SITA bus to Salerno. The bus ride takes approximately 1 hour. Once in Salerno, walk to the Salerno train station, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus station. Buy a train ticket to Venice (Venezia Santa Lucia station). This train journey can take anywhere from 5 to 6 hours depending on the connections. After arriving in Venice, take the Vaporetto (water bus) to the San Marco stop. This ride will take around 30 minutes. From the Vaporetto stop, follow the signs to P.za San Marco, where Saint Mark's Basilica is located.
