Car
From Aosta, take the A5 motorway towards Courmayeur. Continue on the A5 for approximately 60 kilometers until you reach the exit for Courmayeur. Follow signs for Courmayeur and merge onto the SS26. Continue along the SS26 until you reach the junction for the Mont Blanc Tunnel. Take the tunnel (toll required, approximately €55 for a round trip) to cross into France. After exiting the tunnel, follow signs for Chamonix (about 30 kilometers). The vallée de Chamonix is located in the town of Chamonix, which is well-signposted.

Public Transportation
Start at Aosta train station and take a train to Courmayeur. The train ride takes approximately 30 minutes. From Courmayeur, you can take the FlixBus or other local bus services to Chamonix. The bus ride will take around 30 to 45 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary. The bus will drop you off in central Chamonix, from where you can explore the vallée de Chamonix.

Combination of Car and Public Transportation
If you prefer to drive part of the way, you can drive from Aosta to Courmayeur, which takes about 30 minutes. Park your car in Courmayeur (parking fees may apply, around €2 per hour), then take the bus from Courmayeur to Chamonix. The bus ride takes about 30 to 45 minutes. This option allows you to avoid the toll fees of the Mont Blanc Tunnel if you are willing to take the bus.
