    From the Assisi train station, exit the station and head towards the main road (Via Giovanni Paolo II). Turn left onto Via Giovanni Paolo II and follow it until you reach the intersection with Via del Comune. Turn right onto Via del Comune and continue straight until you reach Piazza del Comune. Once you are in Piazza del Comune, head towards the Basilica di Santa Chiara, which will be on your right. Continue past the Basilica, and take the first left onto Via Portica. The Roman Forum and Archaeological Museum will be located at number 2 on your left.

    If you are starting from the Basilica di San Francesco, exit the basilica and head down the hill towards the town center. Follow the signs towards Piazza del Comune. Once you reach Piazza del Comune, look for the Basilica di Santa Chiara on your right. Continue past the Basilica and take the first left onto Via Portica. The Roman Forum and Archaeological Museum will be on your left at Via Portica, 2.
