    If you are in the central area of Bergamo, start by heading towards the Funicolare (cable car) station at Viale Vittorio Emanuele II. Take the Funicolare up to the Città Alta (Upper Town). Once you arrive at Città Alta, exit the Funicolare and walk straight towards Piazza Vecchia, a famous square in the heart of the Upper Town. From Piazza Vecchia, head towards the Colleoni Chapel, then continue straight onto Via Colleoni until you reach the end of the street. You will see the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore to your left. From there, walk towards the Basilica of San Simpliciano, which is about a 20-minute walk from Piazza Vecchia.

From there, head towards Via Colleoni and continue until you see the Basilica of San Simpliciano on your right.
