Getting There

Car
From Cortina d'Ampezzo, head onto the SS51 road towards Dobbiaco. Continue on SS51 for about 30 km until you reach the town of Dobbiaco. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the SS49 heading towards San Candido. After approximately 6 km, turn left onto the SP30 towards Prags (Braies). Follow SP30 for about 10 km until you reach Pragser Wildsee. There is a parking area available near the lake, but note that parking fees may apply.

Public Transportation
From Cortina d'Ampezzo, take the bus operated by Dolomiti Bus (line 442) towards Dobbiaco. The journey takes about 40 minutes. Once in Dobbiaco, transfer to bus line 31 towards Prags. The bus ride from Dobbiaco to Pragser Wildsee takes approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary depending on the season. This option is cost-effective, but be prepared for possible waiting times between connections.

Combination of Car and Walking
If you prefer a more scenic route, you can drive part of the way to Pragser Wildsee. Take the same route as mentioned above until you reach the SP30 towards Prags. Instead of driving all the way to the lake, park in one of the designated areas in Prags and enjoy a 30-minute walk to the lake along a well-marked path. This allows you to take in the beautiful alpine scenery on foot.
