Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Florence Cathedral (Duomo), head southwest on Via dei Servi toward Piazza del Duomo. Continue onto Via Roma, and then take a left onto Via della Repubblica. Walk straight until you reach Piazza della Signoria, where you can see the Palazzo Vecchio. From there, continue on Via dei Neri. After a short walk, turn right onto Via Santa Margherita. The House of Dante (Museo Casa di Dante) will be on your left at Via Santa Margherita, 1.

  • Walking

    If you are near the Uffizi Gallery, exit the gallery and turn left onto Piazzale degli Uffizi. Walk straight until you reach Piazza della Signoria. From there, continue on Via dei Neri and turn right onto Via Santa Margherita. The House of Dante will be on your left at Via Santa Margherita, 1.

    If you are at the Ponte Vecchio, head east towards the Uffizi Gallery. Once you reach the Uffizi, follow the previous instructions from there. Alternatively, you can walk along the river on Lungarno degli Archibusieri, then turn left onto Via dei Neri and right onto Via Santa Margherita to reach the House of Dante.
