If you are starting from the Florence Cathedral (Duomo), head east on Via dei Calzaiuoli towards Piazza della Signoria. After about 10 minutes, you will reach Piazza della Signoria, where you can see the Palazzo Vecchio. From there, walk south on Via dei Gondi, which will lead you directly to the Ponte Vecchio.
