Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Florence Cathedral (Duomo di Firenze), head southeast on Via de' Martelli towards Piazza del Duomo. Continue straight onto Via Roma, then turn left onto Via degli Strozzi. After a short walk, turn right onto Via del Proconsolo. Follow this street until you reach Piazza San Lorenzo. Sagrestia Vecchia is located at Piazza di San Lorenzo, 11R, which is on the east side of the square, recognizable by its entrance facing the basilica.

    If you are near the Santa Maria Novella Train Station, take bus line 1 in the direction of 'Cascine'. Get off at the 'Piazza San Lorenzo' stop. From the bus stop, walk east towards Piazza di San Lorenzo, and you will find Sagrestia Vecchia at number 11R on the square.

    From the Uffizi Gallery, head west towards Piazza della Signoria and cross the square. Continue along Via della Ninna, which will lead you past the Palazzo Vecchio.
