Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, head towards Duino in the Province of Trieste. From Trieste, take the SS14 road towards Monfalcone. When you reach Duino, look for signs directing you to Frazione Duino. The Rilke trail / Pešpot Rilke is located at Frazione Duino, 19, 34011 Duino TS. There is parking available near the trailhead, and it is recommended to arrive early to secure a spot. Note that some parking areas may charge a small fee.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach the Rilke trail by public transport, take a train to Trieste Centrale. From there, transfer to a bus heading towards Duino. The bus line 51 (operated by Trieste Trasporti) will take you directly to Duino. Get off at the stop 'Duino'. From the bus stop, it’s a short walk (approximately 15 minutes) to the trailhead located at Frazione Duino, 19. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as services may vary, especially on weekends.
