If you are traveling by car, start from the main town of Cogne, which is a popular base within Gran Paradiso National Park. Take the SR47 road towards Aosta. After approximately 20 km, take the exit for Charvensod. Follow the signs for Charvensod and continue until you reach the town center. From there, look for signs directing you to Eremo di San Grato. The drive should take about 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. There is parking available near the Eremo.

Once you arrive in Aosta, transfer to a local bus heading to Charvensod. The bus ride to Charvensod takes about 30 minutes. After arriving in Charvensod, you will need to walk approximately 2 km to reach Eremo di San Grato. The walk is uphill and takes about 30 minutes. If you are already within walking distance in Charvensod, you can hike to Eremo di San Grato. From the center of Charvensod, follow the path signs towards the Eremo.
