Walking
Start at the Herculaneum archaeological site entrance. Head east on Via IV Novembre until you reach the intersection with Corso Resina. Turn left onto Corso Resina and continue straight. After about 500 meters, you will see the Circumvesuviana train station on your right. From there, take the train towards Napoli Sorrento. Stay on the train for about 20 minutes until you reach Napoli Porta Nolana station. Once you arrive, exit the station and head southwest on Via Porta Nolana. Continue walking straight until you reach Via Giovanni Boccaccio. Turn left, and after a few minutes, you will arrive at Piazza S. Maria la Nova where the Complesso Monumentale Santa Maria La Nova is located.

Public Transport
From Herculaneum, walk to the Circumvesuviana train station. Board a train heading towards Napoli Sorrento. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at Napoli Porta Nolana station. Once you disembark, take the Metro Line 1 from Garibaldi Station, which is a short walk from Porta Nolana. Head towards Piscinola and get off at the Toledo station. Exit the station and walk towards Via Monte di Dio, then continue towards Piazza S. Maria la Nova. The Complesso Monumentale Santa Maria La Nova will be on your left.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Herculaneum to Piazza S. Maria la Nova. You can easily find taxis near the entrance of the archaeological site. Just tell the driver to take you to 'Piazza S. Maria la Nova, Napoli'. The ride should take about 30 minutes, depending on traffic.
