Getting There

    Start from the Herculaneum Archaeological Site entrance. Exit the site and head towards the main road, Corso Resina. Turn left and walk for about 10 minutes until you reach the Ercolano train station. From the station, take the Circumvesuviana train towards Sorrento and get off at the next stop, Torre Annunziata. Transfer to a ferry service at the nearby port and take the ferry to Ischia. Upon arrival at the Ischia port, walk towards the main street and head towards Ischia Ponte. The Pontile Aragonese is a prominent landmark that you will see as you approach the coastline.

    From your accommodation in Herculaneum, walk to the nearest bus stop on Via Roma. Board the bus heading towards Ercolano. Get off at the Ercolano Scavi stop. From there, walk to the Ercolano train station and take the Circumvesuviana train towards Sorrento. Disembark at Torre Annunziata and follow the signs to the ferry terminal. Take a ferry to Ischia.
