Piazza del Duomo is centrally located and easily accessible on foot from many parts of Milan's city center. From the La Scala opera house, walk straight along Via Giuseppe Verdi, then turn right onto Via Alessandro Manzoni, which leads directly to the Piazza. The walk is approximately 10-15 minutes. No costs are involved.

The Duomo metro station (lines M1 and M3) is located directly beneath Piazza del Duomo, making it a convenient option. From Milano Centrale Station, take the M3 (yellow line) directly to Duomo station. A single ticket costs €2.20 and is valid for 90 minutes. Alternatively, trams 1, 2, 3, and 14 stop near the Duomo. Tickets are the same price as the metro and can be used interchangeably within the 90-minute limit.

Taxis are readily available throughout Milan. A short taxi ride from Milano Centrale Station to Piazza del Duomo typically costs between €10 and €15, depending on traffic. Note that fares may be higher during evenings and on public holidays. There is a taxi stand in Piazza del Duomo.
