Car
If driving from Monferrato, take the SP456 road southeast towards Gavi, approximately 25 km away. Follow signs to Forte di Gavi upon reaching Gavi. Parking is available near the fort for a small fee (around €2-€5 for a few hours). Be aware that the access roads can be narrow with hairpin bends.
Public Transport
Take a train to either Novi Ligure or Serravalle Scrivia. From either station, take a local bus to Gavi. From Gavi, it's approximately a 30-40 minute walk to Forte di Gavi, following Via Garibaldi north and signs for the fort. Bus tickets from Novi Ligure to Gavi cost approximately €2.50, and from Serravalle Scrivia to Gavi, approximately €2.30.
Walking
From the center of Gavi, walk north on Via Garibaldi, following signs for Forte di Gavi. The walk takes approximately 30-40 minutes and offers scenic views. Note that the path is winding and uphill.
