If driving from Monferrato, take the SP456 road southeast towards Gavi, approximately 25 km away. Follow signs to Forte di Gavi upon reaching Gavi. Parking is available near the fort for a small fee (around €2-€5 for a few hours). Be aware that the access roads can be narrow with hairpin bends.

Take a train to either Novi Ligure or Serravalle Scrivia. From either station, take a local bus to Gavi. From Gavi, it's approximately a 30-40 minute walk to Forte di Gavi, following Via Garibaldi north and signs for the fort. Bus tickets from Novi Ligure to Gavi cost approximately €2.50, and from Serravalle Scrivia to Gavi, approximately €2.30.
