If you are in central Orvieto, start at Piazza della Repubblica, which is a central hub. From the piazza, head south towards Via Garibaldi. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via del Duomo. Turn left onto Via del Duomo and follow it until you arrive at the stunning Cathedral of Orvieto. Once there, take Via della Storia, which leads you to the entrance of the funicular railway station. Take the funicular down to the base of the hill and exit onto Via Roma. From there, follow the signs towards the train station, where you can catch a regional train to Tuscania. The train ride will take approximately 30 minutes. After arriving at Tuscania train station, exit and walk towards the north on Via della Stazione until you reach SP2. The Church of Saint Mary 'Maggiore' is located along SP2, just a short walk from the station.
