Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Pompeii Archaeological Park entrance at Piazza Anfiteatro, exit the park and walk down Via Villa dei Misteri, heading towards the main road. After about 300 meters, turn left onto Via dell'Abbondanza. Continue walking straight, and you will pass various shops and cafes. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with Via Stabiana. Turn right onto Via Stabiana, and continue straight. After approximately 400 meters, you will arrive at the small street called Vicolo dei Vetti. The House of the Vettii will be on your left, just a short walk down the Vicolo.

  • Walking

    If you are near the Forum, head towards Via dell'Abbondanza, located just behind the Temple of Apollo. Walk along Via dell'Abbondanza until you reach the intersection with Via Stabiana, where you will turn right. Continue straight for about 400 meters, and then turn left onto Vicolo dei Vetti. The House of the Vettii will be located a short distance down on your left.

    From the Villa of the Mysteries entrance, exit and turn right onto Via Villa dei Misteri. Walk straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Via dell'Abbondanza. Turn right and walk along this street. When you reach the intersection with Via Stabiana, turn left. Walk for about 400 meters, and then turn left onto Vicolo dei Vetti, where you will find the House of the Vettii on your left.

    If you are at the Pompeii train station, exit the station and walk towards the main street, Via Lepanto. Turn left and continue walking until you reach the entrance of the Pompeii Archaeological Park. Enter the park and follow the directions to the Forum. From the Forum, proceed to Via dell'Abbondanza, turn right, and follow the previous directions to find Vicolo dei Vetti and the House of the Vettii.
