Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Colosseum, walk south towards Via di San Giovanni in Laterano. Continue straight until you reach Piazza di San Giovanni in Laterano. From there, head towards the Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano and take Via Merulana. Stay on this road until you see the signs for Aventine Hill. Follow the signs up the hill, and you will reach the entrance to the Aventine Gardens.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    To get to Aventine Hill from Termini Station, take bus number 81 or 670 from the bus stop located at Via Giovanni Giolitti. Get off at the stop 'Piazza della Bocca della Verità'. From there, walk towards the Tiber River, cross the bridge to the Aventine Hill, and walk up to the gardens and viewpoints.
