Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the vicinity of the Spanish Steps, head northwest on Via dei Condotti until you reach Via del Corso. Turn left onto Via del Corso and continue straight. You will pass several shops and cafes. Keep walking for about 15 minutes, and you will see the entrance to Piazza del Popolo ahead. As you approach, you will notice the large obelisk at the center of the square.

    From any point in the Historic Centre, find your way to the nearest Metro station, such as Spagna (Line A). Take the metro towards Battistini and get off at Flaminio station. The ride will take about 3 minutes. Upon exiting Flaminio station, follow the signs for Piazza del Popolo. It is just a short walk (about 5 minutes) straight down Via del Boccaccio.

    Locate the nearest bus stop in the Historic Centre. You can catch bus number 81 or 87 towards the direction of Piazza del Popolo. The ride should take approximately 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Get off at the stop named 'Piazza del Popolo'. The square will be directly in front of you.
