From the center of Siena, head towards Piazza del Campo. Exit the square towards Via di Città, continuing straight until you reach the intersection with Via Banchi di Sopra. Turn right onto Via Banchi di Sopra and continue until you reach Via dei Rossi. Turn left onto Via dei Rossi and follow it until you reach the bus terminal at Piazza Gramsci. Here, you will catch a bus to Volterra. Look for the bus line that goes to Volterra (usually marked as Volterra or with the destination on the front). The journey takes about 1 hour.
