Getting There

  • Walking

    From the central Piazza Tasso in Sorrento, head towards the Corso Italia and continue walking straight. You will pass several shops and cafes along the way. After about 10 minutes of walking, you will reach the Sorrento train station (Stazione di Sorrento). Here, you can catch the Circumvesuviana train towards Naples. Board the train and enjoy the scenic ride, which takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Naples station, follow the signs towards the Metro Line 2 (the green line). Take the train towards Pozzuoli and get off at the Mergellina station. From Mergellina, you can take a leisurely 20-minute walk along the waterfront towards Posillipo, enjoying the beautiful views of the Bay of Naples.

    Start at Piazza Tasso in Sorrento. Walk to the Sorrento train station (Stazione di Sorrento), which is about a 10-minute walk. Purchase a ticket for the Circumvesuviana train going to Naples. The train journey lasts approximately 1 hour. When you arrive at the Napoli Garibaldi station, transfer to the Metro Line 2 and take the train towards Pozzuoli. Get off at the Mergellina station. Once you exit the station, walk towards the seaside promenade and head right along the coast for about 20 minutes. Keep walking until you reach the scenic area of Posillipo.
