Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Venice Santa Lucia Train Station, exit the station and follow the signs to the 'Ferrovia' Vaporetto (water bus) stop. Take the Line 1 Vaporetto towards Lido and get off at the 'San Marco Vallaresso' stop. From there, walk towards the Piazza San Marco. As you approach the square, you will see the Campanile (bell tower) on your right. Continue past the Campanile, and you will find the Colonna di San Marco in the Piazzetta San Marco, just before the entrance to the Basilica di San Marco.

    If you are near the Rialto Bridge, head towards the 'Rialto Mercato' Vaporetto stop and take the Line 1 Vaporetto towards 'Santa Lucia'. Get off at the 'San Marco Vallaresso' stop. After disembarking, walk towards Piazza San Marco. You will see the Campanile on your right. Continue straight, and you will reach the Colonna di San Marco located in the Piazzetta San Marco, right in front of the Basilica di San Marco.

    From the Gallerie dell'Accademia, exit the gallery and head towards the 'Accademia' Vaporetto stop. Take the Line 1 Vaporetto towards 'Bacino Orseolo' and get off at 'San Marco Vallaresso'. Once you are off the Vaporetto, walk towards Piazza San Marco. Look for the Campanile on your right side as you approach the square. The Colonna di San Marco is located in the Piazzetta San Marco, just outside the Basilica di San Marco.
