From Piazzale Roma, head towards the Vaporetto (water bus) stop. Purchase a ticket for the Vaporetto; a single ride costs approximately €7.50. Board the Vaporetto line 1 or 2 and get off at the 'San Marco' stop. From there, walk towards the Piazzo San Marco. As you approach the square, look for signs directing you to Ponte della Paglia, which is located near the Doge's Palace.

If you are using public transportation, take a train to Venice Santa Lucia Station. From the station, follow the signs to the Vaporetto docks. Purchase a Vaporetto ticket (around €7.50 for a single ride). Board a Vaporetto on line 1 or 2 towards San Marco. Disembark at the 'San Marco' stop. Walk towards the Piazzo San Marco, then follow the signs to Ponte della Paglia, which is adjacent to the Doge's Palace. The walk should take about 10 minutes.
