Getting There

  • Car

    From Aomori City, take the Tōhoku Expressway (東北自動車道) heading south. After approximately 30 km, take the exit for Kuroishi (黒石) and follow the signs for Route 102. Continue on Route 102 for about 10 km until you reach Kuroishi. Turn onto Route 7 towards Fukuro. The Tsugaru Traditional Craft Center will be on your right at Tomiyama-65-1, just a few minutes from the main road. There is parking available on-site.

    From Aomori Station, take the Konan Railway (弘南鉄道) train towards Kuroishi Station. The ride takes approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Kuroishi Station, exit the station and take a taxi to Tsugaru Traditional Craft Center, which is about a 15-minute ride away. The taxi fare may be around 1,500 to 2,000 yen. Alternatively, check for local bus services that may run from Kuroishi Station to the craft center.
