Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Buzen and head south on Route 10. Follow the signs for Yufu and continue for approximately 30 km. Once you reach Yufu, take a right onto Route 210. After about 5 km, turn left onto Tsukahara Road. The Garandake crater site is located at Yufuincho Tsukahara, Yufu, Oita, which will be on your right side approximately 3 km down this road. There is a parking area available at the site.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start at Buzen Station. Take a train on the Nippō Main Line towards Oita and transfer at Yufu Station. The journey takes about 1 hour. From Yufu Station, you can catch a local bus heading towards Tsukahara; the bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the Tsukahara stop, which is the closest to the Garandake crater site. From the bus stop, it is a short 15-minute walk to the crater site.
