From Fukuoka city center, head to Hakata Station. Take the JR Kagoshima Main Line towards Kurume. Get off at Yanagawa Station. Once at Yanagawa Station, exit the station and turn right onto Route 208. Walk straight for about 15 minutes, and you will reach Yanagawa Castle Ruins, located in Honjomachi.

From Tenjin, take the Nishitetsu Bus bound for Yanagawa. The bus ride takes approximately 50 minutes. Get off at the Yanagawa bus stop. From there, walk east for about 10 minutes along the river, and you will arrive at Yanagawa Castle Ruins in Honjomachi.

If you're comfortable cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Fukuoka. Head towards Yanagawa via the main roads, following the Route 3 south. The ride is approximately 30 km and will take around 2 hours. Once you reach Yanagawa, follow local signs to Honjomachi to find the Yanagawa Castle Ruins.
