From JR Tanushimaru Station, take a taxi to Migita Orchard. The taxi ride is approximately 7 minutes. Taxi fare is around ¥1,000-¥1,500.
Driving

Migita Orchard is located approximately 25 minutes by car from the Kurume Interchange on the Kyushu Expressway. Parking is available at the orchard. There are no parking fees.

For nearly a century, the Migita family has cultivated persimmons here, and for over 60 years, they've welcomed tourists to share in the bounty. The orchard is known as the birthplace of persimmon picking.From September to December, visitors can pick from five different persimmon varieties, each with its own unique taste and texture. Entry is free, and you only pay for the fruit you pick. In January to April, strawberry picking is also available. You can enjoy different kinds of strawberries.Migita Orchard strives to be a welcoming place for international visitors, offering Wi-Fi and English-speaking staff. The owner, Mr. Migita, aims to create a space where people can relax and enjoy the simple pleasures of farm life.
