Getting There

Car
If you are driving from central Chikugo, head northeast on Route 3 towards Tosu. Continue on Route 3 for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the junction for Route 34. Take Route 34 and follow the signs toward Tateishimachi. After about 5 kilometers, you will see signs for Ochozu Falls. Follow the signs and park in the designated area. There is no parking fee.

From Chikugo Station, take the JR Kagoshima Main Line train towards Tosu. The journey takes about 15 minutes. Get off at Tosu Station. From Tosu Station, transfer to the Nishitetsu bus heading to Tateishimachi. The bus ride takes approximately 20 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited. Get off at the Ochozu Falls stop, which is a short walk from the falls.
