Hozukyō Station (保津峡駅, Hozukyō-eki) is a passenger railway station operated by West Japan Railway Company (JR West), located in the city of Kameoka, Kyoto Prefecture. Situated on the Sagano Line (San'in Main Line), it lies on the border with Nishikyō-ku, Kyoto. The station is known for its breathtaking views of the Hozugawa River and the surrounding Hozukyō Gorge. The station's history dates back to August 17, 1929, when it started as Matsuoyama Signal Box. It was upgraded to a passenger station and renamed Hozukyō Station on April 15, 1936. In March 1989, the station was moved to its current elevated location when the new route of the Sanin Main Line was opened. The old railway track and station were revived as the Sagano Scenic Railway, with its stop named Torokko Hozukyō Station. The station itself is an unstaffed, elevated structure with two side platforms. The platforms offer panoramic views of the Hozugawa River and the forested mountains.
