    To reach Itoshima's Totoro Forest via public transport, start by taking the JR Chikuhi Line from Hakata Station in Fukuoka to Chikuzen-Maebaru Station (approximately 40 minutes). From there, transfer to a Nishitetsu bus (number 100 or 101) heading towards Shimakeya (about 25 minutes). Get off at the 'Shimakeya' bus stop, the closest to the forest. Finally, walk approximately 10 minutes north, following the signs towards 'Totoro Forest'. The path is well-marked. Costs: * JR Chikuhi Line: ~¥580 * Nishitetsu Bus: ~¥400 (roundtrip)
