Car
If you are driving to Dewa Sanzan Shrine's Office, take Route 7 from the center of Tsuruoka City. Head north on Route 7, then turn onto Haguromachi Touge. The shrine's office is located at 〒997-0211 Yamagata, Tsuruoka, Haguromachi Touge, Touge−7. There is parking available near the shrine, but be prepared for a small fee which may vary depending on the season.
Public Transportation (Train)
From Tsuruoka Station, board a train on the Uetsu Line towards Sakata. Get off at Haguromachi Station, which is the closest station to Dewa Sanzan Shrine's Office. The journey takes about 25 minutes. From Haguromachi Station, you can either take a taxi (which may cost around 1,500 to 2,000 yen) or walk approximately 30 minutes to reach the shrine's office.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From Tsuruoka Station, you can take a local bus that goes towards Haguromachi. Check the bus schedule for the latest timings. Alight at the 'Haguromachi Touge' bus stop. The shrine's office is a short walk from there, around 10 minutes. The bus fare is typically around 500 yen.
