If you are driving from central Dewa, head south on Route 112. Continue on this road for about 30 minutes. You will pass through the town of Shonai. Keep an eye out for signs directing you towards Tachiyazawa. Once you reach Tachiyazawa, turn left onto a smaller road immediately after the Tachiyazawa Onsen area. Follow this road for about 5 minutes, and you will see Gassan Shrine on your right. There is parking available near the shrine.

To reach Gassan Shrine using public transportation, start at Dewa Station. Take the bus heading towards Tachiyazawa Onsen. The bus ride will take approximately 45 minutes, and you should ask the driver to let you know when you reach Tachiyazawa. Once you arrive at Tachiyazawa, Gassan Shrine is a short 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Head south from the bus stop, cross the main road, and follow the signs to the shrine; you will pass some local shops along the way.
