If you are driving from the center of Dewa, take Route 7 towards Yamagata City. After approximately 45 minutes, merge onto the Tohoku Expressway towards Sendai. Continue driving for about 2 hours and take the exit toward Osaka. Follow signs for Route 1 and then Route 25 until you reach Namba, Chuo Ward. Hozen-ji Temple is located at 1 Chome-2-16 Namba, Chuo Ward, Osaka. There is limited parking available nearby, and it may incur a fee, typically around 500-1000 yen per hour.
Public Transportation
Start at Dewa Station and take the JR Ou Main Line to Yamagata Station. From Yamagata Station, transfer to the Shinkansen (bullet train) towards Tokyo and get off at Shin-Osaka Station. From Shin-Osaka Station, take the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line to Namba Station. Once you arrive at Namba Station, exit the station and walk about 5-10 minutes to Hozen-ji Temple located at 1 Chome-2-16 Namba, Chuo Ward, Osaka. The total cost for this journey will be approximately 5000 yen.
