Getting There

  • Car

    If you're traveling by car, start from the Hakone area and take Route 1 towards Fujikawaguchiko. Continue on Route 1 for about 30 km. When you reach the intersection with Route 139, turn left and follow the road signs to Lake Saiko. After approximately 15 km, you will arrive at Lake Saiko. The Bat Cave is located at 2068 Saiko, Fujikawaguchiko, Yamanashi. Be sure to check for parking near the entrance.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Lake Saiko Bat Cave using public transportation, take the Hakone Tozan Railway from Hakone-Yumoto Station to Odawara Station. From Odawara Station, transfer to the Fujikyu Railway and take the Fujisan Limited Express to Kawaguchiko Station. Once at Kawaguchiko Station, catch a bus bound for Lake Saiko. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Saiko Bat Cave' stop, which is close to the entrance of the cave.
