Car
If you are driving from Hida, take Route 158 towards Shirakawa-go. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you reach Shirakawa-go, follow the signs to Ogimachi. Kanda House is located at 796 Ogimachi. Look for parking areas nearby, as parking is limited in this historic village. Expect to pay a small fee for parking, typically around 500 yen.

Public Transportation (Bus)
From Hida, head to the Takayama bus terminal. Take the Nohi Bus bound for Shirakawa-go. The bus ride takes about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at the Shirakawa-go bus terminal, you can either walk (about 15 minutes) or take a local shuttle bus to Ogimachi. The shuttle bus will take you closer to Kanda House, which is at 796 Ogimachi. The bus fare from Takayama to Shirakawa-go is around 2,000 yen.

If you are already in Ogimachi, Kanda House is a short walk from the main attractions. From the Shirakawa-go bus terminal, head east on the main street towards the historic village. Kanda House will be on your left side at 796 Ogimachi. The walk is about 15 minutes and is scenic, so take your time to enjoy the views!
