Public Transportation
If you are starting from Hitachi Station, take the Hitachinaka Seaside Railway's 'Kashima Line' towards Katsuta Station. Get off at 'Miyatacho' Station, which is about a 5-minute ride. Once you exit the station, head southeast on Route 6. You will see the Hitachi City Museum at 5 Chome-2-22 Miyatacho, approximately a 15-minute walk from the station.
Car
If you are driving, from Hitachi Station, take Route 6 heading southeast. Continue on Route 6 for about 3 kilometers until you reach the intersection near Miyatacho. Turn left onto Miyatacho Street and follow it for about 1 kilometer. The Hitachi City Museum will be on your right at 5 Chome-2-22 Miyatacho. There is parking available near the museum.
Taxi
You can also take a taxi from any location in Hitachi. Simply tell the driver to take you to 'Hitachi City Museum' or provide the address: 5 Chome-2-22 Miyatacho, Hitachi, Ibaraki 317-0055. The fare from Hitachi Station to the museum is approximately ¥1,000 to ¥1,500, depending on traffic.
