Car
If you are driving from the center of Hitachi, head south on Route 6 (National Route 6) towards Mito. Continue on Route 6 for about 50 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Joban Expressway. Take the Joban Expressway southbound and continue for approximately 30 kilometers. Exit at the Ueno interchange and follow the signs towards Chiyoda City. Once you reach Chiyoda, look for signs directing you to Kikyō-mon Gate, located at 1-1 Chiyoda, Tokyo. Parking is available nearby, but be aware that there may be fees associated with parking in the area.

Train
From Hitachi Station, take the JR Joban Line towards Ueno. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Make sure to check the train schedule as services may vary. Once you arrive at Ueno Station, transfer to the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line and take the train towards Asakusa. Get off at Chiyoda Station. From Chiyoda Station, Kikyō-mon Gate is about a 10-minute walk. Exit the station and head towards the Imperial Palace; follow the signs to Kikyō-mon Gate.

Take the Tsukuba Express from Hitachi to Tsukuba, and then transfer to a bus heading towards Ueno. Once you arrive at Ueno, you can walk to Ueno Station. From Ueno Station, use the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line towards Asakusa, getting off at Chiyoda Station. Kikyō-mon Gate is approximately a 10-minute walk from the station. Be sure to check the bus schedule for departure times and possible fares.
