If you are traveling by car from the center of Hitachi, take Route 6 heading southeast. Continue on Route 6 for approximately 30 kilometers (about 35 minutes). As you approach the city of Mito, follow the signs for the Mito bypass (Route 50). Merge onto Route 50 and continue for about 12 kilometers. Take the exit toward Route 118 (Mito-Kita Interchange) and follow Route 118 for 10 kilometers. After passing through the town of Oarai, keep an eye out for signs for Toyoiwa Inari Shrine, located at 7 Chome-8 Ginza, Chuo City, Tokyo. To reach Toyoiwa Inari Shrine via public transportation, start at Hitachi Station. Board the Joban Line train towards Ueno Station.
