Car
From Sapporo, take the Hokkaido Expressway (道央自動車道) towards Asahikawa. Exit at the Nakagawa IC (中川インターチェンジ) after approximately 3 hours of driving. From the interchange, follow Route 238 for about 30 minutes until you reach Toyokoro. In Toyokoro, follow the signs to Horooka. The Harunire Tree is located at Horooka, Toyokoro, Nakagawa District, Hokkaido 089-5247. There is parking available near the site.
Public Transportation
From Sapporo Station, take the JR Hokkaido train to Nakagawa Station. The journey takes about 3 hours. Upon arrival at Nakagawa Station, take a local bus towards Toyokoro. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes. Disembark at the nearest bus stop to Horooka. From there, it is a short walk to the Harunire Tree (approximately 15 minutes). Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time as they may not run frequently.
Taxi
If you are at Nakagawa Station and prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi to Harunire Tree. The taxi ride will take approximately 20 minutes and cost around ¥2,500 – ¥3,000 depending on traffic conditions.
