Getting There

  • Car

    If you're traveling by car, start from any location in Ise Shima and head towards Ise City. Use the Tsu Ise Road expressway, which connects to the Ise area. Once you approach Ise City, follow signs for Ise Jingu Naiku or Kotai Jingu. The shrine's address is 1 Ujitachicho, Ise, Mie 516-0023. There is parking available near the entrance, but be aware that there may be a parking fee ranging from 500 to 1000 yen depending on the duration. The drive from most areas in Ise Shima to Kotai Jingu typically takes around 30 minutes.

  • Public Transportation (Train and Bus)

    To reach Kotai Jingu using public transportation, first take the Kintetsu Limited Express train from Toba Station or Shima Isobe Station towards Ise-Shima. Get off at Ise-shi Station. From there, transfer to the Ise City Loop Bus (also known as the 'Jingu Kotsu Bus'). Board the bus heading towards 'Naiku' (Inner Shrine). The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes. The fare for the bus is around 300 yen. The bus will drop you off at a stop near the entrance to Kotai Jingu, making it easy to access the shrine.

    If you're near Toba, you can take the Mie Kotsu Bus from Toba Station directly to Kotai Jingu. The bus line is known as the 'Toba-Ise Line'.
