Experience Sakushima Island

Getting There

  • Car

    From Ise Shima, take Route 42 heading towards Toba. Continue on Route 42 for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the city of Nishio. Once in Nishio, follow signs for Hirako and take Route 1 towards Sakushima Island. You will need to park your car at the Hirako Port parking lot. Parking fees may apply, so check for signs upon arrival.

    Begin your journey from Ise Shima Station. Take the Kintetsu Line to Nagoya Station (approximately 1.5 hours). From Nagoya Station, transfer to the Meitetsu Line and take a train to Nishio Station (around 30 minutes). Upon arriving at Nishio Station, take a local bus or taxi to Hirako Port. The bus ride takes about 20 minutes. At Hirako Port, you will need to purchase a ferry ticket to Sakushima Island.
