    If you're traveling by car, head towards the Nishizato area of Ishigaki Island. Start by navigating to Route 390, which is the main road running across the island. From the city center, take Route 390 south for approximately 10 km. Look for signs directing you to Arakawa. After about 10 minutes, you will see a turn-off for Arakawa. Turn left onto Arakawa and continue for about 2 km. The observatory will be on your right at 1024-1 Arakawa, Ishigaki, Okinawa 907-0024. There is parking available at the observatory.

    To reach the Ishigakijima Astronomical Observatory by public transportation, first take a bus from Ishigaki City. Board the bus heading towards Arakawa, which you'll find at the Ishigaki Bus Terminal. The bus fare is approximately 500 yen. After about 30 minutes, disembark at the Arakawa stop. From there, it's about a 20-minute walk to the observatory. Head east along the road, following signs for the observatory.
