Car

If you are driving, start from the Ishigaki Port area. Head south on Route 390 for approximately 6 kilometers. After about 5 minutes, you will see a sign for ホタル街道 on your left. Turn left onto the smaller road which leads directly to the entrance of ホタル街道. There is no parking fee, but ensure you park safely and considerately.
Public Transportation

Begin your journey at the Ishigaki Bus Terminal, located in the city center. Take the 'Ishigaki City Loop Bus' (赤バス) and ride it towards '大浜' (Oohama). The bus fare is approximately 500 yen. After about 15 minutes, disembark at the '大浜' stop. From there, you can either walk (a 20-minute walk) or catch a taxi for about 1,000 yen to reach ホタル街道. The taxi is more convenient if you're carrying a lot of luggage.
Bicycle

For the more adventurous, consider renting a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Ishigaki City. The ride to ホタル街道 is about 6 kilometers and will take approximately 30 minutes. Follow Route 390, and be cautious of traffic. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow local cycling rules.
