Car
If you are driving from Izu, head southeast on Route 135. Follow the signs towards Shimoda. After approximately 25 kilometers, you will reach Shimoda city. Once in Shimoda, continue on Route 135 towards Touji. After about 5 kilometers, you will see signs for Ryugu Sea Cave (Ryugu Kutsu). There is a parking area nearby where you can leave your car. Parking fees may apply, so be prepared with some cash.
Public Transportation
From Izu, take a train to Shimoda Station via the Izukyu Line. The journey takes about 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Shimoda Station, exit the station and find the bus stop for the Izu Bus. Take the bus heading towards Touji. The ride will take around 20 minutes. Exit the bus at the Ryugu Sea Cave stop. The cave is a short walk from the bus stop. Bus fares may vary, so check the latest fare information ahead of your trip.
