Car
If you are driving from the center of Izumo, head southwest on Route 9. Continue on Route 9 for approximately 5 km until you reach a traffic light. Turn left onto Bessho Street (Besshocho) and drive for about 1.5 km. You will see Gakuenji Temple on your right at the address 148 Besshocho, Izumo, Shimane 691-0022. There is parking available at the temple.
Public Transportation
To reach Gakuenji Temple using public transportation, start by taking a bus from the Izumo City Bus Terminal. Look for a bus heading towards Bessho Onsen. The bus ride takes about 20 minutes. Alight at the Bessho Onsen stop. From there, walk approximately 10 minutes northeast along Bessho Street (Besshocho) until you reach Gakuenji Temple at 148 Besshocho. The bus fare is about 300 yen.
