Getting There

  • Car

    Start your journey from central Kai and head east on Route 20 (Kōfu Bypass) towards the Chuo Expressway. Merge onto the Chuo Expressway (E20) and continue for approximately 60 kilometers. Take the exit towards Gotenba (Exit 24) and follow the signs for Route 139. Continue on Route 139, then merge onto Route 52 towards Fujiyoshida. After around 30 kilometers, follow signs to Route 139 and head towards Matsumoto. From Matsumoto, take Route 15 (Shinano Highway) towards the direction of Nagano. Keep following Route 15 until you reach the junction for Route 19, then take Route 19 south towards Izumo. Follow Route 19 until you reach Izumo, then navigate to Taishacho Hinomisaki. Finally, drive to 598 Taishacho Hinomisaki, which is the address of Cape Hino. Note that parking availability might require a small fee.

  • Public Transportation

    From central Kai, take a train from Kofu Station to Matsumoto Station via the JR Chuo Line. The journey takes about 90 minutes with a transfer at Takato Station. Once at Matsumoto, transfer to the JR Shinano Line towards Nagano. Travel to Izumo, which will take around 2 hours. Upon arriving at Izumo Station, exit the station, then catch a local bus heading towards Taishacho Hinomisaki. The bus ride will take approximately 40 minutes. Get off at the nearest stop to Cape Hino, and from there, it's a short walk to 598 Taishacho Hinomisaki. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited.
